Vincent D'Onofrio biography

Born on June 30, 1959 in Brooklyn, NY, D'Onofrio was raised by his father, Gene, an interior designer and later one of the founders of the River Run International Film Festival, and his mother, Phyllis, a waitress and restaurant manager. Though an east coaster by birth, D'Onofrio moved with his family to Hawaii and Colorado before settling in Miami, FL where he graduated from Hialeah-Miami High School in 1977. Though he attended college at the University of Colorado, D'Onofrio left school after 18 months to pursue his acting career. He landed in New York City and began training at the American Stanislavsky Theatre, where he performed in productions of "Of Mice and Men" and David Mamet's "Sexual Perversity in Chicago." Meanwhile, he made his Broadway debut in "Open Admissions" (1984), which he followed with his first feature film role in the sex comedy "The First Turn-On!" (1984). Also at the time, the struggling actor appeared in several student films while paying the bills working as a bouncer at various clubs around the city.

Dana Wynter biography

The daughter of a noted surgeon, Dana Wynter was born Dagmar Winter in Berlin, Germany, and grew up in England. When she was 16 her father went to Morocco to operate on a woman who wouldn't allow anyone else to attend her; he visited friends in Southern Rhodesia, fell in love with it and brought his daughter and her stepmother to live with him there. Wynter later enrolled as a pre-med student at Rhodes University (the only girl in a class of 150 boys) and also dabbled in theatrics, playing the blind girl in a school production of "Through a Glass Darkly", in which she says she was "terrible." After a year-plus of studies, she returned to England and shifted gears, dropping her medical studies and turning to an acting career. She was appearing in a play in Hammersmith when an American agent told her he wanted to represent her. She left for New York on November 5, 1953, "Guy Fawkes Day," a holiday commemorating a 1605 attempt to blow up the Parliament building.

Born , juky 24, 1987 in Los Angeles, California.When she was five years old, Mara Wilson saw her brother Danny acting in a feature film and decided she wanted to do that as well. Danny has since tired of acting, but Mara Wilson became one of the hottest kid actors of the 1990s thanks to her performance as the heavy-tongued, "Stuart Little"-loving youngest tot of Robin Williams and Sally Field in "Mrs. Doubtfire" (1993). Wilson, who hails from Los Angeles, acted in a number of TV commercials (including Oscar Mayer, Texaco and Pound Puppies) before earning her first "break" playing the daughter of Russian immigrants for whom Matt (Doug Savant) must care on several episodes of "Melrose Place" (Fox, 1993). She filmed a TV-movie, "A Time to Heal" (NBC, 1994), in which she was the daughter of a woman who has a stroke trying to give birth to her second child which aired after the release of "Mrs. Doubtfire", Wilson's third project. Her performance as the daughter of divorcing parents earned her much praise and attention. Wilson's lisping delivery might, on the surface, appear too cute, but combined with eyes which speak 1,000 emotions starting with pathos, the combination works. Wilson went on to star in John Hughes' 1994 remake of "Miracle on 34th Street", assuming the Natalie Wood role of a skeptical, even cynical, child who comes to believe in Santa Claus.

Kristen Carroll Wiig was born on Aug. 22, 1973 in Canandaigua, NY. She spent her teen years in Rochester with her artist mother - her parents divorced when Wiig was nine - and her mentally handicapped older brother. After attending the University of Arizona, Wiig headed further west to California after getting bit by the acting bug at 23. Wiig was a member of renowned comedy theater troupe The Groundlings, where she quickly rose up the ranks and became a Main Company player within a year. Her improv theater training at The Groundlings, which launched the careers many "SNL" players over the decades, including Phil Hartman, Will Ferrell, and Lisa Kudrow, helped Wiig land a role in the pseudo-reality series "The J Schmo Show" (Spike TV, 2003-04). Actress, model. Born on June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel. While she was a toddler, Portman’s parents immigrated to the United States.
